Fall Hiking is Here! Join Us at Ridley Creek State Park
Time & Location
About the Event
We will enjoy the moderate trail of Ridley Creek State Park under the Fall morning skies. We will meet at Site 16. The trail can have loose rocks in some areas so please bring your walking pole and wear hiking boots or shoes with soles that can work well if stepping over rocks. We will be doing the White Trail which is 7.6 miles. You will need water, snacks, bug spray, etc. We will move at a moderate pace so this may not be the right trail for a 'newbie' unless you can walk at a reasonably steady pace. Finally, check your calendar before you RSVP. Don't selfishly hold a spot at an event only to casually cancel at the last minute because you are committed to something else. We ask for your consideration in this matter. You are more likely to be able to attend an event, even if you start out on the waitlist. But, please don't make a practice of RSVP'ing and then canceling. If that's your normal practice, eventually, you will be removed from the group.COVID-19 safety measures
We ask if you are not vaccinated to please wear a mask. If you are at high risk for immune disorders, please wear a mask. If you have high anxiety about becoming infected, please wear a mask. We do not regulate masks for all attendees as some people have taken the steps to be vaccinated and feel comfortable not wearing masks. If you are not comfortable with this practice, you might consider waiting until masks are no longer suggested by the CDC or participating with a group that requires all members to wear masks to their events.
